Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

A jet transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the jet's front window, per an official statement which confirmed that Hegseth was safe.

"The jet landed based on standard protocol and everyone onboard, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," a press officer stated in a online announcement.

Hegseth was returning from a brief trip to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.

This event isn't the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has suffered mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was compelled to head back to the US capital after experiencing a mechanical problem.
