The children's author David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an inquiry regarding claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss private personnel issues."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books in total, including a Christmas book named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
